Life in recovery housing at Dallas Sober Living
Built by people in recovery Compassion first. Accountability always.

A place to heal—not just a place to stay

We’re not a treatment center. We’re the soft landing after—where structure meets dignity, and every day is another chance to practice a life worth protecting.

01

Led by lived experience

Chris McGuire and DJ Walker are in long-term recovery. Fourteen-plus years of housing experience means guidance from people who’ve walked this road—not a binder of policies alone.

02

Accountability with heart

Clear house rules, drug screening, meeting expectations, and peer support—designed to protect progress without shaming the person doing the hard work.

03

Homes, not warehouses

Smaller residences in North Dallas, Richardson, Dallas, and Downtown Plano—places where you can work, connect, and rebuild a real life.

“We looked at several places for our daughter. Plano felt different—warmer, more personal. She’s working, going to meetings, and for the first time we’re not holding our breath every night.”

Adults committed to abstinence who need a structured, supportive home after treatment or in early recovery. Residents should be willing to follow house rules, show up for recovery activities, and move toward work or school when they’re ready.

Your rate covers a furnished bed or room in a recovery-focused home, utilities, and access to house support and accountability. Amenities vary by property—ask during intake about Graystone, Richardson, Dallas, or Downtown Plano.

Yes. Men’s homes in North Dallas (Graystone), Richardson, and Dallas, plus a women’s home in Downtown Plano. Gender-specific housing helps create safer, more focused recovery communities.

When beds are open, many placements happen within 24–72 hours after a completed intake and approval. Availability changes—check our live bed status above or call for the latest openings.

No. Sober living is residential recovery housing—not clinical treatment or medical detox. We partner well with treatment programs and outpatient care. If someone needs medical detox first, we’ll help point them in the right direction.

Submit the application below or call Chris or DJ at (469) 412-4572 or (214) 459-7750. We’ll review fit, talk through house options and rates, and walk you through next steps with care.
